This par 4 of approximately 352m is the most difficult hole in the course. It is a dogleg and benefits draw, (right handed)/ fade left-handed), shots if directed towards the bunkers on the right. Straight shots can fly through the water hazard on the left over the trees that form part of the Hazard, generally referred to as “tiger line”, to the fairway just before the lateral water hazards that bisects the fairway at about 30m to the green.
There are 6 bunkers on this hole: 1st and 2nd on the right 200m and 150m respectively to the green. The 3rd is also on the right at 95m before the lateral water hazards. On both sides of the green are two (4th & 5th) normal bunkers and the 6th is nehind the green but slightly on the right side which is about 0.8m deep. This Hole has caused many Golfers much pain due to consistent loss of balls to the water/lateral hazard.
A friend I played with some time ago, having dropped three balls into the water hazard turned around and saw amusement on our faces, thundered “don’t laugh at the crocodile until you cross the river”. Incidentally, three of us dropped our balls into the water. Interestingly, crocodiles are common features in this hole. The green is pear-shaped, elevated, evenly spread, readable breaks wih a bunch of shrubs defining the boundary at the rear.
